With immense pleasure, we wish to inform that “Hindustan Zinc Limited” has been declared winner of NASSCOM IT User Award for the vertical category of Manufacturing (Process). The NASSCOM IT user awards facilitate the enterprises for excellence in IT thought leadership and successful adoption of IT to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
Developing the domestic IT market in India, is a key priority for NASSCOM. One of the key NASSCOM initiatives for promoting IT in the domestic market, is the annual NASSCOM IT User Awards. These awards create a catalytic impact by recognizing the leaders in IT adoption, across various vertical segments. NASSCOM announced the winners of eighth edition of the IT User awards in partnership with Frost & Sullivan and CNBC TV 18 as Media Partner. The awards acknowledge enterprises which have successfully leveraged Information Technology to deliver significant business value to their customers and stakeholders.
The awards were declared and given away by Mr Sachin Pilot, Minister of State (Communication and IT) in a gala award ceremony held at Hotel ITC Grand Central in Mumbai on 26th March, 2012. Mr. P K Nijhawan, Head-IT and Pradeep Vijay, AGM (SAP) received this award on behalf of Hindustan Zinc Limited.
This is the second IT award won by HZL for year 2012. Before this HZL won the "SAP ACE Award 2012" for “Best run IT Organization" in November, 2011.
